First they did it in Belgium, and now Canada has a married lesbian couple behind bars as well. It’s a pity that the UK hasn’t upgraded its ‘civil partnership’ to ’same-sex marriage’ yet, otherwise we could have had an interesting story-line in Bad Girls, ending in a full-blown lesbian wedding finale (and a wedding night spent in separate cells).
